Human Classes Adept The Adept is a Biotics specialist. The rarest of classes, an Adept cannot use any weapon other then a pistol or equip armor stronger then light armor. To compensate for their weak physical prowess, adepts have access to all biotic powers. They are considered an asset to the government and most are employed by the military. However, due to being masters of Biotic abilities, they are often looked upon with suspicion and distrust by the normal populace. Adepts also suffer major side effects due the nature of their abilities. These range from severe migraines to brain cancer. Generic Stats: Remarkable Pysche Starting Talents: Basic Armor, Barrier, Warp Engineer The Engineer is a Tech specialist. Like the Adept, the Engineer can only use pistols and equip nothing greater then light armor. An Engineer is more common then an Adept, and while possessing no Biotic powers, they have access to all Tech abilities. They can easily cripple the sheilds on another character's armor during battle, short circuit electronic devices as well as repair most machinical items in game. Engineers also have access to First Aid and Medicine talents, making them efficient for healing damage. You must purchase the Basic Armor skill for this character class. Generic Stats: Remarkable Reason Starting Talents: Pistols, Decryption, Electronics, First AidInfiltrators Infiltrators are characters that possess a mixture of combat and tech talents. Capable of using pistols as well as Sniper Rifles, it is more of a 'sneak' tactic character. As the name implies, these are characters given infiltration and spying missions in regards to the type of character. Infiltrators also gain the option to upgrade from light armor to medium armor. While not as handy with gadgets as the Engineer, the Infiltrator does have the ability to disable and cripple machinical enemies. Infiltrators are held in high demand by most groups, Military or otherwise. They are considered shadow operatives, and most information about them tends to be missing or classified. Generic Stats: Excellent Reason, Good Endurance Starting Talents: Pistols, Basic Armor, DecryptionSentinel The Sentinel is a support-focused character. Capable of weilding both biotics and tech abilities to keep their respective squads alive. They receive no specialized weapon or armor training and rely heavily on their skills and technology. The Sentinel is surprisingly durable, capable of surviving where Adepts and Techs would have problems. A rare class, the Sentinel is a type that is rarely known to the general populace of the galaxy. Like an Adept, the Sentinel can suffer from major side effects due to their implants. Generic Stats: Excellent Pysche, Excellent Reason Starting Talents: Electronics, First Aid, Barrier Restricted Soldier The Soldier is a combat specialist. The most common of classes, a Soldier can specialize in any weapon and wear medium armor (it is also possible for the Soldier to gain access to Heavy Armor). The Soldier has no access to biotic or tech abilitites, but he makes up for this with his massive physical combat bonuses. Physically, a Soldier can cause more damage and is far more durable then either the Adept or the Engineer. Soldiers are usually Military issue types of characters but criminals also fit this kind of character. Hired goons and civilian militia are also other types of Soldiers. They are the brute force in the galaxy. Generic Stats: Excellent Strength, Good Endurance Starting Talents: Assault Training, Fitness, Assault Rifles, Pistols, Tactical ArmorVanguard The Vanguard is considered a front line member of any squad. Capable of using biotic powers, a Vanguard is more hardy (if less knowledgable about biotic talents) then the Adept. Capable of weilding pistols, the Vanguard can also learn how to use the shotgun. A Vanguard also has the potential of equipping medium armor after upgrading from light armor. Vanguards are more common then the Adepts, as most normal people do not realize of the potential these characters weild. Vanguards are almost always military issue people though some non-Alliance affiliated humans have been seen to be this character type. Generic Stats: Good Endurance, Excellent Pysche Starting Talents: Assault Training, Basic Armor, Pistol, Warp

Restricted Restricted means that this particular class is not readily available for play. You will need to play in the room for a period of 30 days before you are permitted to pick up a class that is listed as Restricted. Upon doing so, you will be entering a probation period of another 30 days. If you appear to be problematic, or cannot handle the character; you will lose the class and will not be eligible to pick up that character type again.
Generic Stats These are the stats that would be average for the character class. It is to be used as a basis for your character, but it does not the be all, end all be all of the character's stats. Just like real life, characters are not cookie cutter lists of statistics... you're character may have higher or lower then "the norm", but significantly high (or low) stats may come under significantly more scrutiny.
Starting Talents These are the talents you automatically receive for picking that character class. They should represent the foundation of your character's knowledge, since they all relate to the "profession" you've chosen for them. Again, you can have some talents for "flavor" or to help round out your character, but no one is an expert in everything... laundry lists of "every talent in the book" will be reduced to a few.
Spectres Spectres aren't listed but they do exist in the game. The reason they aren't listed is because of the exact nature of the character. Spectres are not a class you can apply for, they are chosen not born. If you prove that you're capable, and if your character fits the bill, then you will be asked if you would like to have your character become a Spectre. If you ask, you will not be eligible to become a Spectre. No ifs, ands or buts.
